Centennial

When I first read Centennial by James A Michener I literally (nice pun) couldn't put it down. A big saga size story focused on the history of the plains of northeast Colorado from prehistory until the early 1970s. The storyline is so strong it soaked into my soul and has remained there. Michener's characters are sublime and you follow their lives and live their experiences with them. Little Beaver, Michener's Arapaho indian, has had as significant influence on my life as many close friends have had.

I recommend you read Centennial and feel confident you'll find the novel an experience.
